post Category: Hyperhidrosis Q&A post post7 February 2010

When i feel something is wrong i always initially feel that i should go to the doctor just to check it out to see if somethings up. Thing is, im 15. If i wanna go to the doctor i ask my mom to make me an appointment. My life is monitored by my parents, they would know if i did without them.

I think i might have hyperhidrosis. Which is excessive sweating. Ive told my mom before, that i sweat more than normal and she says its normal. She doesn’t understand though, because she doesn’t see me unless were at dinner or something. She gets mad at me when i try asking if i can get it checked out or even talk about it more than once. She has depression and a very strong temper if i dont have perfect timing.

How would i convince my mom that im not just joking around, i want to get checked my a doctor cause this is seriously embarrassing. Im going to the doctor next week because i have an ingrown toenail [when i get them, they get serious enough i need surgery so i want to get a handle on it]

Should i just bring it up when im with the doctor that i have serious excessive sweating, ONLY on my scalp, forehead and nose and sometimes my palms?
My family doesn’t get check ups. My mom, yeah lol cause shes messed up and always has problems. Nobody else though.
