Open Question: I have a metal implant inside my head (Cochlear implant) if i hav a current of 12V in me, wil it be ok?

Hello I have a Cochlear Implant inside my head, due to deafness. I have been asked to take part in an experiment for hyperhidrosis iontophoresis. I get paid for it, plus it’s a relative thats requested me to do so. I want to take part however, the experiment involves me getting a small electric current of 12V, in my body. Would the metal implant get damaged? I NEED TO KNOW ASAP!
