post Category: Hyperhidrosis Q&A post post5 December 2009

I have hyperhydrosis (excessive perspiration) and have been using a antiperspirant, Maxim, which seems to be the only antiperspirant that works for me. Maxim has 15% aluminum chloride. I am pregnant and I really want to know if it is safe to keep using. I would never want to do anything that could harm my baby. I have consulted my physician about it and she is not sure but i’ve tried over-the-counter antiperspirants and they just dont work for. HELP!!

Have any of you used an antiperspirant with aluminium chloride while pregnant?

PLEASE HELP!

Thanks!

Thank you for your answer. I am 19 weeks pregnant and I worry because I dont know the effects of aluminum chloride for an unborn. I find some comfort in knowing that I am not the only one. Thank you
